REA is accepting resumes and portfolios from planning, urban design, and landscape architecture students for Spring, Summer, and Fall 2023 internships for our offices in Indianapolis, IN and Louisville, KY. We are open to candidates seeking six-month to year-long internships.
Spring / Summer / Fall 2023
We encourage you to develop your career and grow your skills with us through our internship program. We believe that all team members, no matter their experience level, can make long-lasting impacts for our clients and their projects, and our firm. Through this opportunity, you will help us cultivate a culture of life-long learning and inclusion in support of our mission.
As an intern, you will work closely with our team of landscape architects and planners on a wide variety of commercial, institutional, and municipal planning and design projects. You will have the opportunity to participate in all stages of project development including community engagement, ordinance development, master planning, conceptual design, construction documentation, and construction administration. You may produce documents, reports, graphics, and materials for community outreach. Other responsibilities will include assisting project teams with compiling data and conducting research; and GIS mapping; preparation of conceptual site design plans, illustrations, and 3D visualizations; preparing quantity take-offs and cost estimates; assisting project managers with client meeting materials and presentation boards; and attending meetings.
Our internship experience includes a capstone project where all interns will develop research or help solve real-world design challenges on a specific topic. At the conclusion of the program, interns will share their project and findings with the entire REA team.
