Hiring: Project Manager, Climate Adaptation & Resilience

Job Description:

Assess and prepare climate resilience strategies for the firm’s urban planning, landscape architecture, and urban design projects, working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary project teams. Advance and integrate climate adaptation initiatives and strategies for planning, design, and interdisciplinary projects.

Job Requirements:

  1. Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Design from an accredited program.
  2. An additional undergraduate or graduate level degree in environmental design or environmental science.
  3. Five (5) years of experience with a Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or Planning Consulting firm.
  4. Other education, experience, and skills must include:
    • Working with project teams to develop sustainability goals and strategies for projects from site scale to regional scale;
    • Fundamentals of carbon calculation and applicable tools;
    • Consulting on climate change vulnerability, risk assessments, and adaptation strategy development impacting midwestern region of U.S.;
    • Graphic communication and technical software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite);
    • Spatial data analysis and visualization at different scales using ArcGIS and Grasshopper;
    • Quantitative research and report generation for internal and external projects; and
    • Ability to work in deadline driven, project team environment while maintaining and managing projects and client relationships.
  5. Must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
  6. Professional licensure in Landscape Architecture and LEED or SITES accreditation.
