This community-driven vision reimagines one of Evansville’s oldest neighborhoods as a vibrant, safe, and walkable community without displacing the people who call it home.
Developed through a collaborative process with residents, grassroots organizations, and local leaders, the plan lays out clear and achievable strategies for housing stability, economic opportunity, mobility, green spaces, and cultural identity.
Already in motion, the plan has helped attract funding, guide trail planning, and protect the neighborhood’s character. It demonstrates how equity and design together can create lasting change.
